Jones<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you noticed how grocery markets are\nincreasing their number of snack aisles?&nbsp;\nStores make it their business to have a sweet aisle, sugary soda aisle,\nand even sometimes several saltiness aisles for ultra processed potato and corn\npackaged items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultra-processed foods include, but are\nnot limited to, breakfast cereals, pizza, soda, chips, packaged baked goods,\nmicrowaveable frozen meals, instant soups, sauces, and much more\nsalty\/sweet\/savory snacks.&nbsp; The gush of\noffering and selling tasty quick items is hurting Americans\u2019 health,\nparticularly the easy to fleece young folks who just do not know better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The marketing blitz of products carried\nby stores make for the typical scene like the one I saw today with young girls urging\ntheir mother to buy the processed sugary boxed cereals.&nbsp; The mother easily gave in and placed into their\nshopping cart ten (10) non-nutrient 99\u00a2 cereal boxes for her three young daughters.&nbsp; Same day and store, another typical scene\noccurred at the checkout line where four (4) young boys, without parental\nsupervision, spent eleven dollars on candies and chips, all of which was gathered\nfrom adjoining snack aisles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of these purchases in the least are\nconsidered earth shattering because nationally 90% of the money Americans spend\non foodstuff goes to buy processed items.&nbsp;\nThis is a sad commentary on our American society where automobile gas\nstation &#8216;Food Marts&#8217; carry 50% of what the average American routinely eats every\nday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers report that less than 1% of the\ndaily calories of Americans come from vegetables.&nbsp; This bad-mannered food consumption is\nhappening in the midst of knowledge shared everywhere on the health dangers that\ndrive disease from eating too much added sugar and saturated fat.&nbsp; This is not to mention how health specialists\ngive data on by decreasing sugar consumption a person can lose weight, prevent\ninsulin resistance and other chronic diseases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Globally, more than $1 trillion each\nyear is spent on treating sugar and junk food-related diseases, such as obesity,\ndiabetes, to heart disease and cancer.&nbsp; Annually,\nobesity is responsible for an estimated 500,000 cancer cases worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2012, pre-diabetes and diabetes\naffected 1 in 4 Americans.&nbsp; In the same\nway, something rarely talked about is how half of all adults living in\nCalifornia are Pre-Diabetic or Diabetic.&nbsp;\nSo California is not unusual from the country, however, in California blacks,\nHispanics, and Asian-Americans are nearly twice as likely to have diabetes as\nwhites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The disease called \u2018Diabetes\u2019 has become\nso common that many Americans speak about it as though a cure is near and there\nis no need to dramatically change their poor daily eating habits. &nbsp;Well, high blood pressure, heart disease, and\nstroke, blindness, kidney disease, nervous system disease, amputations, dental\ndisease, pregnancy complications, and cancer can all be linked to poor dietary\npractices.&nbsp; So, spend little time in the\nsnack aisles, and if you find yourself in these aisles shop SugarAlert!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sugaralert.come\/\">www.SugarAlert.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Since 2007, Dean\nsteadfastly shares his understanding on the dangers of eating processed sugar.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Snack Aisles By Dean L.
