Jones<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is something unique about northern\nCalifornia voters who seemingly act on futuristic issues considerably more than\nsouthland social change advocates. &nbsp;For\ninstance, the majority of folks living in the City of Berkeley significantly\ncut back on sugar laden sodas after the city introduced a tax on sugary\nbeverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In following up on the Berkeley\nconsumer\u2019s response to the tax, researchers found that in two low-income neighborhoods\nthat soda consumption dropped a notable 22% after Berkeley imposed a\npenny-per-ounce tax on sugar-sweetened beverages.&nbsp; The city&#8217;s tax went into effect in May 2015,\nand made a 20-ounce bottle of Coke 20\u20a1 more expensive for distributors and\nstores, where such extra costs are passed on to consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, this reduction in liquid\nsugar consumption has not had any positive effect on nearby Oakland and San\nFrancisco residents. &nbsp;Where the same\nresearchers revealed how in places where there has been no sugar tax implementation\nsugary beverage consumption increased 4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although similar laws have been proposed\naround the country and world, Berkeley is one of the few cities in the country\nto successfully pass a soda tax.&nbsp; In July,\nPhiladelphia passed a tax increase of 1-\u00bd\u20a1 cents per ounce of sugar-added and\nartificially sweetened soft drinks.&nbsp; Internationally,\nefforts have had more success, where soda taxes have passed in France, Hungary,\nand Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drinking sodas can often feel refreshing\nand unless there is a sort of tap on the shoulder to remind us about the\ndangers of consuming too much sugar we tend to neglect the numerous teaspoons\nof sugar going down.&nbsp; Consequently, it is\neasy to overlook the amount of processed sugar eaten each day when there are no\nreminders or warnings stating where it may exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number foodstuff items we routinely consume\nare overlooked as containing processed sugar.&nbsp;\nBarbecue sauces average a couple of teaspoons of sugar per serving.&nbsp; Fruit Yogurts range from 2 to 4 teaspoons of\nsugar per serving.&nbsp; Traditional Chinese\ndishes commonly add 1 to 3 teaspoons of processed sugar to their tasty entrees.&nbsp; Kung Pao Chicken uses on average 2-teaspoons of\nsugar per serving, but sweet and sour chicken dishes can have upwards to 5-teaspoons\nof sugar per serving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pasta sauces are notoriously placing 3-teaspoons\nof sugar per serving.&nbsp; One overlooked\narea comes with the so called healthy foodstuff items like dried fruit and\nGranola bars.&nbsp; Just \u2153 cup of dried fruit\ncan have as much as 6-teaspoons of processed sugar and a granola bar contains\non average 3-teaspoons of processed sugar.&nbsp;\nThe sugar contents is not only the natural fructose that fruit contains,\nbut also these products have added processed sugar used as a preservative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, strokes, diabetes, and\nheart ailments are too common.&nbsp; Thereby\nleading the question of \u201cwhat did the doctor say?\u201d&nbsp; Which is followed by \u201cto exercise and be careful\nwhat foods and beverages to have,\u201d or in other words, live more SugarAlert!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sugaralert.come\/\">www.SugarAlert.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Since 2007, Dean\nsteadfastly shares his understanding on the dangers of eating processed sugar.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Easily Overlooked By Dean L.
